Rafael returns to Peru

On his second visit to Lima, Rafael had the opportunity to work with the students in the National Conservatory Orchestra, the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and at the British school Colegio Markham. Rafael's visit was hosted by the Peruvian Association of Symphonic Band and Ensemble Directors (ASPEB), for which he delivered a one-week conducting seminar accredited by the Ministry of Education. Rafael also had the opportunity to visit and work with the Navy Band of Peru during this trip and looks forward to conducting that band in a future concert.
This visit builds on the strong relationships that Rafael is forging with like-minded musicians and conductors throughout Latin America. With a focus on the human values inherent in the study and performance of music, this network or "red" is working to better pedagogical practice throughout the region and instill the values that will shape the next generation of citizens and musicians throughout our shared hemisphere.
