Orchestra plays for Governor’s Inauguration

The Augsburg University Orchestra received an invitation to perform at The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul for the inauguration of Governor Tim Walz on January 2, 2023. With limited space on stage and with the event scheduled for the day after New Year’s, Rafael organized a contingent of orchestra members as the Augsburg University Chamber Strings and helped to celebrate the start of Gov. Walz’ second term. Augsburg students had the chance to spend a few minutes meeting with Governor Walz and his spouse, Gwen Walz, a great supporter of the arts and Augsburg’s mission in the community. The Augsburg University Orchestra wishes Governor Walz all the best as he embarks on a second term as Governor of the State of Minnesota.
