Recording Session with Augsburg Choir

The worldwide pandemic created a two-year pause in the live performances of Augsburg University’s yearly Advent Vespers services. A collaboration between the Music Department and Campus Ministry, “Vespers” reaches an audience of nearly 10,000 visitors in four services featuring performances by the Augsburg Symphony Orchestra and choirs. For the 2021 iteration, a production company was hired to produce a Virtual Vespers service that was live-streamed during the first week in December. Rafael was invited to conduct the Augsburg University Choir accompanied by a faculty string quintet performing music from "Kreek's Notebook" by Estonian composer Tõnu Kõrvits.
